Guided visit to the Monumental city of Molina de Aragón

It is one of the most beautiful medieval towns in Spain with a walled enclosure and a castle. In addition, there are Romanesque monuments (Old Bridge), Renaissance and Baroque mansions and churches, and the old Jewish and Moorish quarters with convex houses supported by their thick wooden frameworks.

Routes through the Alto Tajo Natural Park

One of the gates to the Alto Tajo Natural Park is the Virgen de la Hoz Canyon (chapel and viewpoint). It is a magical and privileged enclave carved out by the Gallo River over the centuries, turning it into a spectacular reddish-colored canyon, one of the most beautiful on the Peninsula.

Excursion to the Natural Park and Monastery of the Piedra River

Natural Space and Monastery Complex. In the natural park, water is the main protagonist with a multitude of beautiful waterfalls of the Piedra River under a riverside forest. The monastery, which is more than 800 years old, presents a beautiful sober and luminous architecture that characterizes the transition from Romanesque to Cistercian Gothic, through its magnificent cloister and various rooms and passageways.

Tour of the Mesa River Valley

From its source (in the town of Selas) to its mouth (in the Piedra River), the Mesa River runs through paramos de junipers, rocky areas that form deep canyons and towns that keep alive the essence of its old centuries, always with its watchful castles of ancient border stories between Castile and Aragon (Castles of Establés and Villel de Mesa). It is a place of exquisite beauty with corners in which to lose yourself and enjoy nature. On the rocky heights that surround the valley, the griffon vulture nests.

Hiking through  Establés, Aragoncillo and Selas Mountains

Moorland landscape where dryland cereal crops (wheat and barley) alternate with extensive forests of juniper and scattered junipers. The highest mountainous areas are crowned by rock formations. From the highest peak "La Señorita or Aragoncillo" with 1500 m approx. you can see the immense moorland of Molina de Aragon and even the peak of Moncayo. The environment is surrounded by pastures, calving sheds, watering holes, old fountains, rocky cliffs and a rich and varied fauna, making this a privileged and charming place to escape, and disconnect from the madding crowd of the city.

Religious architecture route

Within a radius of 30 km you can enjoy the varied architectural styles of the churches in the area. More than 20 churches in as many towns to learn about the popular culture of the environment.

Observation of Star Skies

Establés belongs to the "Starlight Cielos de Guadalajara" reserve. The excellent quality of its sky will allow you a different observation of the firmament due to:

- The presence of dark skies little affected by light pollution.

 - The atmospheric conditions that allow a high degree of sharpness to be achieved in the observation of the firmament.

- The atmosphere has adequate transparency.

- An adequate percentage of clear nights throughout the year
